EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Roosevelt High School's marching band will perform during the 85th Pearl Harbor Memorial Day Parade in Honolulu, Hawaii with the Marine Forces Pacific Band opening the ceremony and marching down Kalakaua Avenue before playing at the USS Missouri. School officials are seeking sponsors as the trip costs about $3,000 per student. KCCI
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Iowa DOT announced the University Avenue on‐ramp to Interstates 80 and 35 will remain closed until spring since recent changes to lane merges have caused backups at the mixmaster near Clive and West Des Moines. The DOT will maintain the current lane setup until the Walnut Creek bridge is completed. Des Moines Register
