EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Iowa public K-12 schools will receive a 2% state support increase to reach $8148 per student next school year. The plan, approved by the House last week and sent to the governor Monday, also shifts funding to quarterly payments to improve school districts' cash flow. Radio Iowa
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, MidAmerican Energy is installing a radar system to automatically shut off wind turbine warning lights when no aircraft are nearby; the company has installed the system at five wind farms and will expand it across its turbines in the coming years. KCCI
