- ➤ Over 2,000 protestors gathered Saturday morning in Des Moines outside Congressman Zach Nunn's offices to demand that he reverse his support for a House bill cutting budgets and harming vulnerable constituents; the protest moved from Cowles Commons to the Capitol. Nunn said Iowans must stick to a budget and protect critical programs like Medicare—similar protests also took place in Sioux City, Davenport, Iowa City, and Carroll. WHO13
