- ➤ Tuesday morning, law enforcement closed I-80 between Exit 104 and Exit 106 in Dallas County after reports of an active shooting near De Soto—drivers now must use a detour through Redfield while officials continue the investigation. WHO13
- ➤ Police are investigating in Waukee tonight after two teenagers threw Jenga blocks at Zenko Tea's owner, Phuong Thai, who was working with her 7-month-old daughter strapped to her chest+ leaving her shaken and filing a report, while community members have come by for support+ and the surveillance video has drawn thousands of views. - ➤ The Iowa Senate sent a bill to the governor to set new rules for election recounts—candidates in statewide or federal races may request a recount only if the margin is 0.15% and for all other races the gap must be less than one percent or 50 votes—and recounts will mainly be run by county auditors with each campaign allowed up to five observers.
