A new park called Kathryn Kreig Park is being built in Highland Park at 3825 East 9th Street to add a stormwater basin plus park features such as a basketball court, a walking loop and playground equipment.

The park, named after a longtime city employee who led local programs, is expected to serve over 2,900 residents when construction finishes in the fall.
