CULTURE NEWS

  • On Saturday, the Science Center of Iowa held its 10th annual Mini Maker Faire at 401 W Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway where makers including Brett Trout and Troy Powers showcased projects from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Food trucks served attendees outside—tickets cost $17 for children and adults and $15 for seniors.  WHO13

SPORTS NEWS

  • At Iowa’s open practice on April 26th, the Hawkeyes tested their vertical passing game as Hank Brown, Jackson Stratton and Jimmy Sullivan took snaps while South Dakota transfer Mark Gronowski did not play. Receivers Reece Vander Zee, Kaden Wetjen and Dayton Howard made impressive plays, and coaches said the offense looked deeper and more veteran.  WHO13
