AAA Iowa spokesman Brian Ortner said crude oil climbed to the low 70s overnight after news of Israel’s attack on Iran and that gas prices may rise within a day or two.
He noted that gas prices in Iowa were below $3 before the attack (the spike is expected to be short term as summer travel demand grows).

On Friday, nine people graduated from the Polk County Intensive Supervision Drug Court program at Drake Legal Clinic, marking a fresh start for those who had struggled with addiction.
The program, which has assisted participants since the late 1990s, required treatment, therapy, and 75 hours of community service—steps that demonstrated its strict yet supportive approach.
