- ➤ Ankeny police arrested 27-year-old Gemiere Cortez Goodwin on July 3 for a violent home invasion on the 2200 block NW Ashland Parkway that injured an elderly victim, and they later detained his 45-year-old mother, Merrelita Rae Kintz, on July 22 for her role in the crime—both now face charges including attempted murder and first-degree burglary.
