Lisa Schiller from the Better Business Bureau said that online sellers must deliver orders on time or provide a revised shipping date with the option to cancel for a full refund—shoppers should verify details directly with sellers to avoid fraudulent duty fee claims.
She warned that scammers have been sending false messages about duties on overseas packages.
After its 2023 sale, Iowa's Kum and Go stores are being rebranded to Maverik — several locations, including the West Des Moines site at 5308 University Avenue, closed today for updates and will reopen on July 30.
Additional closures are scheduled through October as Maverik completes its changeover.
🎓 Education
Yesterday at Rose Farm in Norwalk, Farm School held its final session with the West Des Moines Public Library’s bookmobile — Blank Park Zoo presented on pollinators to help kids learn about nature.
The free program, partnered with local groups for several years, featured interactive games and outdoor activities.
