- ➤ The owners of 515 Brewing Company in Clive announced after 12 years they are stepping down and noted that head brewer Barb Becker is retiring— the brewery will remain open while it looks for a new owner. WHO13
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Des Moines police arrested 18 year old Sari Miking Camp for multiple violent crimes including attempted murder after he fired a gun at rival gang members on July 10, wounding one man and striking two homes — he now faces at least 17 felony charges. KCCI
- ➤ Des Moines Police Department warned residents about rising car thefts linked to a social media trend where inexperienced teen drivers steal Kia and Hyundai vehicles and urged car owners to use steering wheel locks—50 locks were recently given out at the Downtown Farmers’ Market while officers advised against leaving keys in vehicles or parking in poorly lit areas.
