In Ames, chainsaw artist Andy Klindt from the Des Moines area is turning a tree struck by lightning this summer into a floral-themed artwork.
He is preserving the branches with 15 years of wood art experience—bringing new life to the damaged tree.
Platinum-selling rapper That Mexican OT will headline a multi-artist music show in West Des Moines later this month at Val Air Ballroom on Sept.
30—opening acts include RNB Foemob and Drodi—with the show set to start at 7:30 p.m.
