  • ➤ The West Des Moines City Council approved two 20-year development agreements for the Grand Experience project (a $600 million initiative) to build a water park, entertainment center, and 400-room hotel along Grand Avenue between 60th and 88th Streets near the MidAmerican Energy RecPlex. Work will start in 2026 and may take up to 10 years while council member Greg Hudson (chair of Catch Des Moines) said tourism numbers will rise.  KCCI
  • ➤ West Des Moines candidate Jennie Doke-Kerns took down her campaign website yesterday after discovering language that exactly matched that on former state senator Nate Boulton’s site—she apologized for the error and said she will update the content as she runs for a First Ward council seat.  Des Moines Register
