- ➤ Attorney General Brenna Bird said Iowa joined a multistate settlement with Menards over claims that the store misled customers on its 11% rebate program. Menards will clarify rebate limits & update its online tracker, and Iowa will receive nearly $447,000 while details on fund use remain pending. Radio Iowa
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Officials with the Polk County Health Department confirmed a measles case in an unvaccinated infant who traveled from an outbreak area — no public exposure sites have been identified. Iowa has reported 8 measles cases this year. KCCI
- ➤ Ludacris donated $100,000 to ChildServe to support its Inpatient Complex Medical Care program for children with special healthcare needs. The gift — made during the holiday season — will fund critical therapies, specialized medical equipment, and comforting resources. KCCI
- ➤ The VA Central Iowa Health System in Des Moines is reassigning 10 employees and reducing domiciliary care beds from 60 to 40 as it rarely has over 40 veterans in need — the move allows staff to be shifted to areas with greater demand. KCCI
